Hey there, I just came across your blog and wanted to quickly say just how very cool your postings are and thank you for sharing your insights and ask a question of you -- I am getting into the VJ world and have been experimenting a bit on my MacPro with Modul8 and VDMX5. I want to start performing but I don't own a laptop and I'm working on limited funds to acquire one... I was already really interested in the possibility of using a netbook for such purposes but your post really tweaked my curiosity. Could you please provide a bit more information about how functional the MSI Wind is running on VDMX5 (ie how many different video layers can you run, general performance, issues operating on such a small screen, etc)... I would really appreciate your insight as I am trying to make a call on this... Thanks!

l33t.

I will build one, then use it with with my pie plate ring flash. I'm pretty sure you can build a complete professional studio using a toothpick and a rubber band.

VDMX also plays audio, if your video files have it. Resolume's ability to combine an audio loop with a video clip is quite cool though.
